LIKEaBIKE

Do you want to get your little one a bike but he’s just too small to handle it? With LIKEaBIKE, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Unlike a tricycle that has three wheels and that has to be pedaled, LIKEaBIKE has no pedals at all. With only two wheels, it can help a child’s motor skills and sense of balance right from the start.

What Is LIKEaBIKE?

LIKEaBIKE is designed to be just like a bicycle in the sense that it has only two wheels, but instead of having pedals that a person has to learn to use while balancing, it’s short enough that both of your child’s feet stay on the ground. It’s pushed along instead of pedaled along.

How Does LIKEaBIKE Help With Balance?

As your child pushes the LIKEaBIKE, he has to learn to keep his balance – but it’s not nearly as difficult as riding an actual bicycle. By the time he’s mastered his LIKEaBIKE, he’ll be ready for a standard bicycle and won’t have gone through the tricycle phase at all. LIKEaBIKE will give him the skills he needs to balance correctly and ride a real bicycle.

Is LIKEaBIKE Safe?

Any toy has an injury risk. Your child could fall over on the LIKEaBIKE. With supervision, though, there aren’t likely to be injuries. Make sure your child is well-protected and that you’re watching him closely, especially until he gets used to his LIKEaBIKE. Because his feet are on the ground all the time to push the LIKEaBIKE along, it’s much harder for him to fall off and get injured.

With LIKEaBIKE, your child can learn the motor skills and balance skills he needs to handle a real bicycle, and he’ll be ready for one at a much younger age than many of his peers. You’ll be giving him a great head start.

Among the many different options for children’s furniture is the Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed. As your children outgrow their cribs and toddler beds and want something larger and more stylish, Nurseryworks can provide what they’re looking for – and what their parents can afford and feel good about.

Stacked Or Un-Stacked?

The Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed can be stacked or un-stacked, so you don’t have to use it as a bunk bed forever. What About Storage?

The cabinets and cubicles that are built into the end of the Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed are perfect for your child’s belongings. They are sturdy, and there are several choices when it comes to color, so you don’t have to worry about getting something that doesn’t go with the décor in your home or that your child won’t like.

Affordability

The Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed isn’t cheap, but quality matters and buying something that costs too little often means that the quality just won’t be there. By getting the Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed, your children can enjoy it for a long time to come. As they grow, they won’t outgrow the look or style of the bunk beds.

Don’t be fooled by imitators that have similar-looking bunk beds. Nurseryworks Duet is the right choice when it comes to style, quality, and price. The modern lines and great storage that the beds offer keep children happy with their sleeping arrangements and keep parents happy with the quality and look of the furniture that they purchased. Those are things that are getting harder to come by today, but Nurseryworks still offers it to anyone who buys their products.

When To Make The Transition From Crib To Bed

bedGenerally, between the ages of 1 and 3 (probably closer to 3) it’s time for your child to move from the crib into a toddler bed or a twin sized bed. Though this may be true, the transition is not an easy one. The crib is small and has walls around it, and it feels more secure.

Moving To The Bed

A larger bed with no walls feels expansive and not safe. A good way to alleviate this fear is to make sure the bed is comfortable and inviting, you may even want to let the child help pick out the bed. Once you have the bed set up, keep things near it that the baby likes. You may want to set up the bed in the same room as the crib a good deal before the transition so the child gets used to it being there. Be excited about the bed and how wonderful it is that the child is big enough to get to sleep in it. Make it something to look forward to. Make sure that some playtime happens on the bed so the child associates the bed with good things.

The Right Time

If you feel your child is just not ready to move to the bed yet, don’t force the transition, let the child stay in the crib a little longer until he or she is more ready for the move. If the move is forced, the child may suffer an adverse reaction and moving will become much more difficult.

Dont Forget Your Helmet!

helmetWith helmet wearing a mandatory occurrence when kids are out bike riding, parents tend to believe that will keep their kids completely out of harms way. But will it really?

Head Injuries Increases

While the numbers of children riding bikes have decreased, the numbers of reported head injuries have increased, a whole ten percent since 1991. This is under the conditions of helmet wearing haven risen sharply. So what’s happening? Are the helmets not working? No one is really sure why the numbers are what they are; however, safety experts still stress that while helmets do not prevent accidents from happening, they are very effective at reducing the severity of the head injuries when accidents happen. It is a rarity that anyone suggests helmet wearing is of no use and should be stopped and many experts say that helmets can reduce the severity of brain injuries incurred by as much as 80 percent.

Stay Away From Danger

Many advocates of helmet wearing say that the rising number of injuries coincides with the rising number of aggressive drivers on the road, others suggest that many riders may wear their helmets improperly or don’t follow the rules of the road. Many streets that have no shoulders may still have cycle riders on them where it may be clearly dangerous to ride. Some even believe that because a rider is wearing a helmet, they feel a false sense of security that allows them to be much more bold in their riding practices than they should be. No matter what the reason, a head injury can change your whole life. Make sure you wear your helmet, wear it correctly and ride in a sensible fashion.
